September 19, 2006 at 4:12 pm (Library Education)

Whether we like it or not our students will find and use Google Scholar. Librarians should be able to explain to students the pros and cons of Google Scholar and use Google Scholar as a chance to promote Library databases and on-line journals. Find out how Google Scholar works and options for promoting local link resolvers. We will also discuss what we can learn from Google Scholar to help make our existing interfaces to catalogues and databases more usable.

The Benefits
The workshop will help your library develop a proactive approach to Google Scholar.
